Dominion Technical
Sales, Inc. represents manufacturers that specialize
in Electric Process heaters and Temperature controls.
Chromalox Precision Heat & Controls®,
formerly known as “Edwin L. Wiegand” a Division
of Emerson Electric Co; Ogden Manufacturing Inc; Thermo
Systems Technology, and Thermion Systems International.
Each company provides solutions to unique areas of thermal
heat transfer using electric heat for the most precise
temperature control capability.
For over 80 years
Chromalox ® has
provided the broadest product line of electric heaters
in the industry including component heaters:
- Band & nozzle
- Cartridge
- Tubular
- Strip and Ring
- Flexible rubber
- soft
metal melting pots and hot plates.
Chromalox® also offers an extensive thru-the-side
immersion heaters from 3” up to 14” flange
immersion with screwplug immersion sizes from ½” to
2 ½” NPT in copper, steel, 304 SS and Incoloy® materials.
Over-the-side heaters for: plating, acids tanks,
clean water, De-ionized, corrosive solution tank
and demineralized water application immersion heaters.
These elements can be manufacturer with special
sheath materials of Quartz, fluoropolymer, ceramic,
cast iron, titanium, Incoloy®,
as well as standard copper, steel and stainless
steel.
Inline circulation, air duct type heaters for air
or gas heating, and non contact radiant, including
pipe and tank heat tracing, convection and blower
comfort and packaged systems with steam boilers,
vaporizer, large tank & open coil and fluid
heat transfer systems.
Chromalox® provides state of the art microprocessor
based controls that provides both the temperature and
power controls to operate electric heaters. These DIN
style microprocessor controls incorporate Auto-tuning,
ramp-soak, Smarter Logic®, CE certified and bumpless
transfer in single or multiloop control designs. The
MaxPac® series offers “touch-safe” SCR
designs in three phase and single phase SCR versions
in either, zero-cross over or phase angle fired firing
modes.. Chromalox’s exclusive DOT (Demand
Oriented Transfer) firing switches the fewest number
of cycles to provide the most precise zero crossover
control.
Ogden Manufacturing specializes
in the plastics heating market with their band heaters
including the Mighty-Miser® insulated
ceramic, the Aluma-Flex® cast aluminum, the Mighty-Tuff® high
watt density, high temperature band as well as the traditional
Mica band for extruder or injection molding heating requirement.
Ogden has insertion heaters featuring
a “Split” sheath
SST and a “Quad” QST tubular designed especially
for platen, die or mold heating applications where the
holes are poorly drilled or worn through age. The Ogden
Maxi-Zone® heater provides multi-zone heating for
continuous process temperatures up to 2000F and where
up to three independently controllable areas along the
sheath length can be achieved. The more traditional Bullet® and
Might Watt® cartridge heaters complete the insertion
heater products.
Immersion heaters including the Mighty-Blade® which
is a flat blade tubular process heater along with a special
SiAION ceramic tubing used in heating molten metal baths,
corrosive service, vacuum and other extreme temperature
applications up to 2100F.
Thermo Systems Techology provides “Skin Effect” pipe
heating and “impedance” heating for pipe-line
heating solutions.
